RECOMBINANT DNA TECHNOLOGY 
  1. Basic Handling: 
    • Handling of equipments.
    • Basic calculations of molecular biology.
    • Media preparation and autoclaving.
  2. Growth and maintenance of bacteria carrying recombinant plasmid.
  3. Plasmid DNA isolation and treating it with RNase-A to get rid of RNA content.
  4. Restriction Digestion and analysis.
  5. Gel elution of both vector and insert DNA saparately.
  6. Ligation reaction.
  7. Competent cell preprtion and transformation.
  8. Competent cell efficiency testion using known quantity of DNA.
  9. Screening of trsanformation through α-complementation test.

GENETIC ENGINEERING

PLANT TISSUE CULTURE

    • Leaf disc preparation

COURSE 4
IMMUNOLOGICAL STUDIES
  1. Extraction of total Proteins from different sources.

  4. ELISA for testing the samples for viral (ToMV) infectoion.

  1. Whether it is research project or training project, We will guide you but you have to handle everything to get ‘hands on’ experience
  2. For practicals, each batch will have a maximum of six students
  3. For outstation students bus facility for pick up and drop from Bangalore station can be arranged at concessional rate
